She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of awards.
